Civic Clubs & Organizations

The North Baldwin area is rich in community spirit and we proudly demonstrate it through our active community clubs and organizations. Some are civic, others simply gather for the love of their cause.

5 Arts Club

Based in Stockton, this group focuses on five different artistic areas: Literature, Architecture, Music, Painting, and Sculpture.

This group was created by Mr. I.P. Mason in 1925 in order to encourage the appreciation, love and study of the five arts. The club’s motto is “The goo, the beautiful, the true.” The club colors are red, yellow and blue, and their flowers are roses, lilies and violets. They meet monthly.

Bay Minette Beautification Committee

 

In a mission statement adopted in 2012, the Beautification Committee is dedicated to the improvement of our community.

This small group of dedicated individuals has worked tirelessly in cooperation with the city’s grounds department to stimulate and promote our city’s appearance. Each month a business and residential home within the Bay Minette City limit is acknowledged and promoted.

Rotary Club

 

Chartered on April 21, 1949, The Bay Minette Rotary Club is an organization consisting of business professional and community leaders who volunteer time, talent and resources in order to meet vital community needs.

​Fourth of July: The Rotary hosts an outstanding fireworks show behind the Bay Minette Elementary School.

In addition, they also help to sponsor the Baldwin County High School Band.

The Rotary Club meets every Wednesday at noon at the Rotary Village located at 2211 McMillan Ave. Bay Minette, AL 36507.

Stockton Civic Club

 

Located on the grounds of the original school in Stockton, AL, this active group runs their civic club and raises money to maintain the grounds, the running track and park throughout the year.

 The civic club building is available for rent.

Stockton Heritage Association

 

The Stockton Heritage Association & Museum is dedicated to protecting, promoting, and preserving the rich heritage and culture of Stockton and North Baldwin. The organization sponsors various projects, programs, and exhibits which strengthen the community, honor the generations of the past, and connect present and future generations to their heritage. Examples of SHA activities include Annual Stockton Sawmill Days Festival, Stockton Landmark District Citizen of the Year Award, Developing the Aikin Garden & Longleaf Pine Preserve, Bi-Annual Historic Tour of Homes, Stockton Heritage Museum and hosting monthly special programs and events for community. Membership is open for individual, family, and corporate levels.

“The Stockton Heritage Museum exists to showcase the relationship of the people, past, present, and future, to the land and events that shaped the course of Stockton’s unique history, heritage, and culture. Our mission is to collect, preserve, interpret and promote the historical and cultural artifacts from this North Baldwin community. We are committed to exhibitions and programs that will strengthen our community, honor the generations of the past, and connect present and future generations to their heritage.”
